On behalf of the faculty and staff of Pike County Middle School, I am proud to welcome you to the a new school year. It is our vision to create the kind of school that students love. While we certainly strive to be a school that students look forward to attending, a more important goal is to be a place that former students look back on and say, “I loved PCMS because it made me a better student and stronger person.”
To attain this goal, we must have your permission to push your child to be what they are capable of becoming. We want to earn your trust so that we might partner together to help prepare your child for the world ahead of them. To develop traits like perseverance, strong work ethic, and always doing the right thing, we will set high goals for your child and hold them accountable for reaching them.
The road will be bumpy, and there will be moments when your child might seek the easiest path. Let’s work to develop the kind of grit in your child that will help them confront the problems they will encounter and find appropriate solutions for them.
