Pike County Middle School offers students the opportunity to participate in a number of sports. Students in all grades may be a part of the Cross Country, Softball, Basketball, Wrestling or Track Teams. Sixth, seventh and eighth graders may also play Football or be on the Cheerleading squad. Lastly, students in eighth grade have the chance to try out for volleyball, soccer, and baseball teams associated with the high school. We believe that athletics are an outstanding way for young people to “plug in” to their school in a way that is different from their academic experience. In fact, many students who decide to join such teams often find greater academic success, in addition to the teamwork skills, new friendships, and improved self-discipline that extracurricular activities like these often provide.
We offer the following sports at PCMS: Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Dance Team, Football, Soccer, Softball, Track, Volleyball, Wrestling.
There are no upcoming events at this time.
Pike County Middle School’s teaching, administrative, and support staff place the interests of our students at the forefront of all that we do. We do this through close partnership with parents and local community members to develop creative pupils who possess the knowledge, skills, and fortitude to solve real-world problems.
