Pike Middle School Clubs

Pike County Middle School offers a variety of clubs for our students. We encourage all students to get involved in extra-curricular activities. The afternoon school clubs are Beta Club, Drama Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FFA, HOSA, and Student Advisory Team. Please contact the specific club advisor for additional information.

**If there is a club or student organization in which you DO NOT give your permission for your child to participate, please email Principal, Mr. Michael Teti, at tetim@pike.k12ga.us Please include the name(s) of your student(s), grade level, and the clubs or organizations that are restricted for your student(s).**

List of Active Clubs

Drama Club 
  • Sponsors – Angie Lester and Taylor Martin 
  • Purpose – dedicated to allowing Pike County Middle School students with a passion for performance to find a community of like-minded peers who share the desire to create quality, entertaining theatrical productions. 
  • Activities – Drama Club meets monthly to practice drama skills first semester and performs annual spring productions. Performances include the regional RESA Literacy Days Drama Competition, and annual spring plays such as Matilda, Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe, and Annie Jr. 
Beta Club
  • Sponsors –Merle Woodall, Lyndsey Matthews
  • Purpose – As a member of National Beta and as a citizen of my community, state, and nation, I believe in and shall strive to promote the principles of honesty, justice, service, cooperation, responsibility, industriousness, humility, and charity.
  • Activities – State Jr. Beta ConventionVarious school projects, fund raisers, and community service projects throughout the year
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) 
  • Sponsors –Jacob Booke, Abby Booke
  • Purpose – The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an organization dedicated to cultivating relationships with Jesus Christ. The FCA’s mission is to lead coaches and players to Christ but you do not have to be an athlete to attend.
  • Activities – The meetings are student led and each week students share their testimony or lead the group in bible studies. This group meets every Tuesday morning 7:30-8:00am.
FFA (Agricultural Education)
  • Sponsor – Hannah Smith— Remind @pikemidffa
  • Purpose – FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

  •  Leadership Events – Central Region Leadership Rally, Discovery Conference, Career Development Events, State Convention, Summer Leadership Camp, Chapter Officer Leadership Training, Community service opportunities
HOSA Future Health Professionals 
  • Sponsor – Savannah Cain, R.N.
  • Purpose – The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping the student meet the needs of the health care community.
  • Activities – Students will learn how to make a state pen, t-shirt, partake in medical competitions, teamwork, and evaluate the composition of various preventable diseases.
Student Advisory Team
  • Sponsor – Principal Michael Teti
  • Purpose – To create an advisory committee for the Principal in which student perspectives of the whole school experience are shared. The group will value all viewpoints, demonstrate active listening, seek to understand/be understood, and solve problems in creative and collaborative ways.
  • Activities – The Team will meet five (5) times each year for one hour after school. We will discuss topics determined by group members and placed on the agenda. For example, the student advisory team in the past has been influential in improving social activities such as school-wide dances and end-of-the-year celebration events. The group has also presented solutions to crowded hallways and locker issues.
